Inner Child Therapy is particularly helpful if you have experienced a
childhood that lacked love and emotional support or your needs were unmet in some way.
This may be for a number of reasons including being abandoned, ignored, dismissed,
compared unfavourably to others or overprotected etc as a child.
These painful experiences can affect how you feel about yourself in the present day.
We recommend that you will need around 8 sessions, depending on you as an individual.
During the sessions you will be guided on a hypnotic journey to meet your inner child at different stages
in your life. In your imagination you will become the perfect parent, friend or ally that the child needs which will allow you to:
- Heal childhood traumas in a safe and gentle way.
- Give yourself what you needed as a child.
- Improve your self-esteem as an adult.
- Stand up for yourself and set limits with others.
- Have freedom from fear in the present day.
- Develop healthy beliefs.
- Share your story and be heard, at your own pace.
In between sessions you may be asked to write or draw pictures to help you re-connect with your inner child.
Inner child therapy is a powerful but gentle and non-invasive way to release yourself from the past.
